What is meant by the term transcription?
Transcription is the textualization or transmission of texts which in their original form are available either in written or oral form.
- Written original texts for a transcription: Old manuscripts or prints that are transcribed into a modern readable version. We provide such transcriptions for old German manuscripts, but also for prints or manuscripts in Latin, Old Church Slavic or ancient Greek language.
- Audiovisual origin for a transcription: Sound recordings to be transcribed. We produce these transcriptions as part of our projects for the transcription of audio or video recordings.
